Connecting Volt Cloud

Volt Cloud is required to use the MCP server and other cloud-based features.

Where to find it

Open Volt and go to Settings > Volt Cloud. If you’re setting up an AI client from the App Store (e.g. Claude or ChatGPT), you’ll be prompted to connect Volt Cloud as part of that flow.

Steps

1. Go to Settings > Volt Cloud.
2. Click Connect Volt Cloud.
3. Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to Settings > Linked Devices > Link a Device.
4. Scan the QR code shown in Volt.
5. Wait a few seconds for the connection to confirm.

Once connected, you’ll see a Volt Cloud connected status in Settings, and you can generate an API key or set up a Custom Connector from the MCP setup instructions.

Reconnecting

If Volt Cloud disconnects, follow the same steps above from Settings > Volt Cloud to reconnect. Reconnecting doesn’t affect your existing WhatsApp messages — only the cloud session used by MCP.
