Scheduling Messages

Learn how to schedule messages for later delivery.

Schedule a Message

  1. Type your message in any chat
  2. Instead of pressing Enter, click the clock icon next to the send button (or press Cmd+Shift+S on macOS or Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows)
  3. Pick the date and time
  4. Send the message

Your message will appear in the scheduling queue and be sent automatically at the specified time.

Managing Scheduled Messages

Open the Scheduling Queue from the sidebar to see all pending messages. From here you can:

  • Edit the message, attachments, date, or time
  • Delete a scheduled message
  • Retry a message that failed to send
  • Send now instead of waiting for its scheduled time

You can attach up to 10 files, with a combined size limit of 15 MB, to a scheduled message.

Scheduled messages can be delivered even if Volt is closed or your computer is off.
