📣 BroadcastOverview

Broadcast

Compose a message once and send it individually to multiple recipients from a Volt list or a WhatsApp group’s members.

Broadcast is for legitimate, opted-in communication. WhatsApp and Meta—not Volt—decide when to restrict an account, and natural pacing cannot remove the risk of messaging cold contacts.

How It Works

Broadcast lets you send messages to multiple contacts. Each recipient receives the individual messages you broadcast.

Features

  • Target Selection

    • Send to one or more Lists (multi-select, deduplicates recipients)
    • Send to all Group members (with admin badges, excludes self)
  • Message Composition

    • Multiple message blocks per broadcast (add/remove dynamically)
    • Text and media blocks, subject to WhatsApp’s current size limits
    • Media with optional captions
    • First-name personalization with {{first_name}}
  • Sending

    • Test broadcast — sends to yourself first
    • Natural pacing between messages and contacts
    • Unread status is preserved after sending
  • Controls

    • Pause / Resume mid-broadcast
    • Stop broadcast early
    • Progress bar
  • Delivery pacing — Built-in natural pacing, without a guarantee against WhatsApp restrictions

Delivery requirements

Broadcasts started from the desktop client run from your computer. Keep your computer awake, Volt open, and your internet connection active until the broadcast finishes.

Workspace CRM users can also start a broadcast to selected chats from the web app. That flow runs as a durable background job, supports cancellation, reports per-recipient progress, and reconnects to an active broadcast after a page refresh.

Responsible use

Volt does not impose a hard recipient cap. Meta does not publish safe outreach thresholds, but community guidance suggests keeping outreach to roughly 50 new contacts per day and avoiding rapid or one-way cold messaging. Treat that number as guidance, not a guarantee.

Use Broadcast only with recipients who have opted in. For genuinely high-volume outreach, use the official WhatsApp Cloud API.

Free accounts include 2 broadcasts per month. Premium includes unlimited Broadcast usage, subject to WhatsApp’s own rules and enforcement.
