Using the Google Meet Integration

Once Google Meet is connected, starting a call from any WhatsApp chat takes a single command.

Start a Google Meet call from a chat

1. Open any individual or group chat in Volt.
2. In the message composer, type /meet.
3. Volt creates a Google Meet call in your account and posts the join link into the chat.
4. The link is delivered to everyone in the conversation. They can click it to join the meeting in Google Meet.

The same flow works in both 1:1 chats and group chats.

Tips

• Meetings created with /meet are instant calls: they start immediately. The integration does not currently support scheduling meetings for a future time.
• Meeting settings (background blur, captions, host controls) follow your Google Meet defaults. Adjust them in Google Meet Settings to change defaults Volt uses.
• Meetings created through Volt appear in your Google Calendar just like calls created from Meet directly. You can view, edit, or end them from Google Calendar or Meet.
