Privacy Mode

Privacy Mode hides chat content when you are screen sharing, working in a public place, or do not want message previews visible on screen.

Turn Privacy Mode on or off

Use either method:

• Open your profile menu and select Toggle Privacy Mode.
• Press Cmd+D on macOS or Ctrl+D on Windows.

Peek at hidden content

Hover over blurred content when you need to read it. Volt reveals the content temporarily and hides it again when you move the pointer away.

Privacy Mode is a visual screen-hiding feature. It does not change message storage, permissions, or who can access the underlying WhatsApp account.
