Chat sharing

Choose who sees each chat

New

  • Share chat, at the top of a chat's contact info, lets you pick which teammates or teams can see that chat.
  • Settings → Sharing in the Volt Web App sets automatic sharing for each team and member: Metadata only, Metadata + conversation, or Only chats I choose.

Improved

  • Contact info has new Apps and About tabs. HubSpot records, tickets and your other connected apps now live in Apps, and you can drag the tabs to change their order.
MCP tools

Volt MCP grows to 63 tools and works with Grok

New

  • Grok joins Claude and ChatGPT. Find its card and setup steps in the App Store of the Volt Web App.
  • Your assistant can send files: images, documents and videos up to 50 MB. It can also open the files and voice notes people send you.
  • Every message action: edit or delete your messages, pin them, react and see who reacted, and send, vote on and read the results of polls.
  • HubSpot and Zendesk: look up HubSpot contacts and records, link chats to a deal (up to 500 at a time), and read or create Zendesk tickets from a conversation.

Improved

  • Manage your MCP API keys in Settings → Developer, now in the Volt Web App: create named keys, rotate or revoke them, and copy the setup snippets. Claude and ChatGPT connect from the App Store.
  • Your assistant sees your Views and WhatsApp lists: it can read the chats in a View, create and edit lists, and move chats in and out. Chat lists now include unread counts.
  • More for groups: group info, invite links, joining by link, renaming and changing the description, and adding or removing people in many groups with one request.
  • Broadcasts from your assistant can be a sequence of messages with up to 10 files, sent to up to 1,000 people or to a WhatsApp label.
  • See and cancel your scheduled messages.

HubSpot summaries

HubSpot chat summaries for groups, in your team's language

New

  • Choose the language of the chat summaries Volt adds to HubSpot: English, Spanish or Portuguese (Brazil). Owners and admins set it in Settings → General → Chat summaries in the Volt Web App. New summaries use it; existing ones don't change.
  • Groups get summaries too: one shared summary per group, with each participant named, added to the linked contact, deal or company.

Improved

  • Once a day, Volt adds an AI summary of each shared chat to its HubSpot record: needs, objections, commitments and next steps. If nothing relevant happened, no note is added.
  • The first summary of a chat focuses on its most recent activity instead of the whole history.
  • Summaries need the chat to be shared and an admin to grant the HubSpot permissions from the App Store.
Apps

Your Zendesk tickets in the sidebar

New

  • The sidebar has an Apps section. Tickets lists your Zendesk tickets with the open count.

Improved

  • A chat's Apps drawer shows each connected app with its open count on that chat, so you can open or create a Zendesk ticket right there.
  • Hover a sidebar row to see its go-to keyboard shortcut.
Keyboard navigation

Faster keyboard navigation across Volt

New

  • Open the focused chat with → and step back to the chat list with ←. The list stays in place when you leave a chat, so you never lose your position.
  • Attach files with ⌘ + ⇧ + A and open the emoji and sticker panel with ⌘ + ⇧ + E straight from the composer.
  • Copy selected text from any message with ⌘ + C.

Improved

  • A single focus ring now shows where you are in the Inbox, Calls and every integration list, and integration lists are fully navigable with the keyboard.
  • The shortcuts cheatsheet shows every alternative key for each action, and arrow keys stay inside the reaction emoji picker.

Tasks

Introducing Tasks: turn WhatsApp messages into to-dos

New

  • Tasks is a new optional app in Volt. Turn it on from the App Store in the Volt Web App and a Tasks item appears in your sidebar with your open count.
  • Create a task from any message with Create task in the message menu, or focus a message and press T. Volt drafts the task with AI from the surrounding conversation.
  • Organize tasks in lists, add a due date and time, and link each task to the chat it came from. Your tasks are the same ones you see with the Volty assistant on WhatsApp.

Improved

  • Clicking a task's chat opens the conversation scrolled to the original message, highlighted.
  • After saving, a toast lets you jump straight to your tasks, and completed or deleted tasks can be undone in one click.
  • Due dates use a new calendar picker, shared with HubSpot date fields.
New look

A refreshed look, closer to WhatsApp

Improved

  • Volt's icons and tooltips now follow the WhatsApp design system, so Volt feels like a native part of WhatsApp.
  • Zendesk tickets and Linear issues share one consistent design for lists, details and creation, and counters only include open items.
  • HubSpot keeps your records and form progress after each action, and the chat sharing toggle is back in the drawer footer.
  • Chats from your personal lists no longer appear in the Inbox.

Fixed

  • Settings and shortcuts work again on the latest WhatsApp version.
  • Message timestamps are visible again after a WhatsApp update.
Voice notes

Voice note shortcuts and What's new in Volt

New

  • Record, pause, discard and send voice notes from the keyboard, and press Enter to send a recording.
  • When an update is available, a What's new link shows what changed in each version. You can update now or later, and a reminder stays in the sidebar until you do.
  • The Calls section is fully keyboard-navigable. Jump to it with G → C.

Improved

  • HubSpot chat details and CRM associations now work from a single, unified flow.
  • Preview a chat from the list even while another chat is open behind it.
Conversations

Conversations: your team's WhatsApp chats in one place

New

  • Conversations in the Volt Web App shows your team's chats and groups in one table. Each row opens the chat's page.
  • Each member decides what the team sees: during onboarding they share their conversations with the workspace or choose Keep conversations private. The Personal page lists the chats they didn't share.
  • The Shared by column and filter show who shared each chat, next to its last activity.

Improved

  • Select every chat that matches a filter, even across pages, and manage the members of many groups at once.
  • Link the same HubSpot company or deal to several chats, for example all the groups of one customer.
Web App

Workspaces and broadcasts move to the Volt Web App

Changed

  • Workspace management, billing, the App Store and broadcast creation now open in the Volt Web App, so you manage your account from one place.
  • Workspace settings (name, members, roles and billing access) are no longer edited inside the extension.
  • Volt's shared workspace Lists have been retired: Views and the Web App now organize your workspace chats. Your WhatsApp lists keep working as before.

Fixed

  • Scheduled messages no longer remain stuck as drafts.
  • Tab switches between All and Unread again.
  • WhatsApp reloads automatically after a Volt update, so you're always on the latest version.
