Terms of Service

Last updated: June 23, 2026

By accessing and using Volt (“the Service”), you agree to these terms.

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available”.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Volt Chat LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Use of Services

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available”. You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes, in accordance with these Terms, and in compliance with the terms that apply to your WhatsApp account and any third-party service you connect.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and MCP API keys and for activities performed through your account. You must have authority to connect the relevant WhatsApp account and to use and process information available through it.

4. Volt Cloud

When you connect Volt Cloud, you authorize Volt to operate a cloud-hosted linked device for your WhatsApp account and to synchronize and store the messages and related information needed to provide enabled features. The amount of initial history available is controlled by WhatsApp and your linked-device configuration and typically ranges from approximately one week to six months. New incoming and outgoing messages may continue to synchronize while Volt Cloud remains connected.

Disconnecting Volt Cloud stops future cloud operation but does not automatically remove previously stored history. Message-history availability and retention may vary by subscription plan. If your subscription expires or is downgraded, history older than 30 days may be permanently deleted and may not be recoverable.

5. MCP and Authorized Actions

If you connect an MCP-compatible client, you authorize it to access the Volt tools made available through your MCP API key. These tools may read available chats and messages and request actions such as sending a message or changing a status.

By default, Volt requests confirmation before most actions that affect WhatsApp. You may change these confirmation settings. Read-only operations and expressly authorized automated actions may occur without individual confirmation. You are responsible for reviewing the permissions and confirmation settings you grant and for instructions submitted by you or your connected client.

MCP clients and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Volt is not responsible for a third party's independent handling of information after you direct Volt to provide it to that service.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to send spam or unlawful automated messages, impersonate another person, conduct unauthorized surveillance, violate another person's privacy or rights, distribute harmful content, or access or use an account or data without authorization.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our services are owned by Volt Chat LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

Volt Chat LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the services.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through our services.
