Introducing Navigation Shortcuts for WhatsApp

We’ve just made one of our favorite features even better.

Until now, keyboard shortcuts in Volt only let you move around the chat list (the middle column). Handy, but a bit limiting if you truly like speed and saving time...

With our latest update, you can now navigate inside any chat — whether it’s a group or an individual conversation — without ever touching your mouse. Here’s what’s new:

🧭 Move around the conversation

• Hit the up arrow while on the composer to jump straight into chat history.

• Use arrow keys to browse messages quickly.

• Press Enter on any message to reply and quote it instantly.

💬 Interact like a pro

Once you’ve selected a message, you can:

• Press R to react with emojis.

• Press F to forward the message.

• Use Space to open media (images, audio, videos) on the spot.

• Want to jump back to the chat bar? Just press left and navigate inside that section as well.
