Broadcast Improvements: More Ways to WhatsApp Your Contacts at Once

If you spend a lot of time sending the same message across many WhatsApp chats, Broadcasts were built for that. Here's what's new.

Two ways to choose who you're messaging

When you open Broadcasts, you pick your audience first.

  • List Broadcast — select any list and message every chat in it at once
  • Group Members Broadcast — search for any WhatsApp group and privately message every member inside it

Both work the same way after that: you write your messages and hit Start.

Multiple messages and media

You're not limited to one text message. You can add as many messages as you need, in the order they'll be sent. And you can include media alongside them: images, videos, or files.

So if you're sharing a PDF and a short note, you add both. Volt handles sending them to every contact in your broadcast.

Track progress while you keep working

Once a broadcast starts, a progress bar at the top shows how it's going. You can see messages going out in real time.

You don't have to sit and wait. The broadcast runs in the background, and you can keep using Volt — opening other chats, replying to messages, doing whatever you need.

Group Members Broadcast

This mode is useful if you run communities or groups and need to reach everyone privately. Search for any group, compose your messages, and every member gets a direct message from you. Not a group reply — a private message.

It's the fastest way to contact every person in a group without making noise in the group thread itself.

A note on how to use this

Broadcasts are designed to message people you already have a relationship with. WhatsApp doesn't allow unsolicited marketing or spam, and sending bulk messages to people who don't know you can get your account banned. Use this for follow-ups with clients, updates to your team, or reaching out to contacts who are expecting to hear from you.
