Audio Transcripts & Summaries Are Now on Mobile 🎉

Since we launched audio transcriptions and summaries on desktop, tons of you have been asking for the same magic on mobile.

Well… it’s here. ⚡

Now you can handle voice messages on mobile without having to hit play.

What’s new in Volt (for mobile):

Anytime you receive an audio message on WhatsApp, Volt will:

• 🧠 Summarize long audios (over 300 characters) right at the top of the message.
• ✍️ Transcribe the full audio so you can read it like a regular text.
• 📱 Show everything inside the same chat—no switching apps, no copy-paste.
• 🌍 Work in any language, even when people mix them (yes, your bilingual friend is covered).

You can tap “Read more” to expand the full transcript if you need the full context.

Fully customizable (because not everyone wants summaries from Mom 😅)

Inside Volt’s mobile settings, you can configure:

• Whether transcriptions are automatic or triggered manually (via the Volt ⚡ emoji!).
• If you want to enable it in groups or just 1:1 chats.
• Which lists or contacts receive transcriptions (for example, you can exclude the Family list or specific people).

Got someone who really doesn’t want their voice notes turned into text? No problem—you can exclude them entirely.
