No more screenshots when you add someone to a group

You know the drill. Someone joins the group. Three people immediately screenshot the last 20 messages and paste them in. Another person types out a summary. The new member scrolls up, confused. Classic.

It does not have to be like that.

Share group history when adding a new member

In Volt, when you add someone to a WhatsApp group, a toggle appears: share group history. Flip it on, and the new member gets up to 100 messages of context the moment they open the chat.

No forwarded messages. No screenshots. No one playing catch-up.

How it works

  • Add a new member to any WhatsApp group
  • Flip the toggle to share group history (up to 100 messages)
  • They open the group and the context is already there

One toggle. Done.

Why it matters

Group chats move fast. When someone joins mid-conversation, the context gap is real. Without history, they either ask questions that slow the whole group down, or they just stay quiet and miss the point.

Sharing history means new members land with full context. Decisions already made stay made. The group does not have to repeat itself.

Get Volt

If you are still doing it the screenshot way, there is a better option. Volt is the WhatsApp desktop experience built for people who actually use it to get things done.
